NEWS

12 May 2023 Flatlands and Journey’s End are two tracks that were recorded in 2016 for a project but have not been on general release. A recent remix of these tracks is available here and shortly to be uploaded for streaming. Update, both are now availble.

2023 Well its been a while since we added any news. Moving house from London to the South Coast, UK has been exciting but time consuming and while I have been working on new ideas, I have nothing at the recording stage as yet. I will, however, continue to upload individual tracks and albums that are available.

15 Dec 2022 COMPASSION is now available here for individual track downloads. It will shortly also be available for streaming on the usual streaming outlets UPDATE: Compassion is now available on Amazon, Spotify, Deezer and most streaming outlets

Helter Skelter

Illustrated and produced by Sharon Fuller

18th April 2022 New Video: Helter Skelter

It has been a great pleasure to have written the sound track for a new video by Sharon Fuller. Helter Skelter is a 4.5 minute delightfully quirky animation, illustrated and produced by Sharon. The music/sound track was recorded with Tony Wilson at Herne Bay Studios. This has been an opportunity to thank Sharon for the video work she has done for me previously (Bob’s Old Mine, Ghost Boy and Recording On the Up Beat). I hope you enjoy watching it as much as we have enjoyed making it

London Clay will be available on most streaming providers from 4th Febuary 2022

People have been asking me about a song I recorded with Mark Knopfler called Window Display. It was recorded as a single in 1980 but never released, however I re-recorded it for the album The God Given Right.

I released the original recording on a limited edition album in 2002 called Lost and Found, which is no longer available

Over the course of this year I will be posting some further songs and music that were recorded but either not released or only in limited editions.

January 2022: I have just made available for digital download all the tracks from my album London Clay. Head to shop, digital downloads to find these and others.

Dec 2021 In memory of my good friend and musician, Dr Noel (Red) Brown, who sadly died this Christmas, here is a track called “Rave On” featuring Noel on guitar. Recorded in 1990, the song makes specific reference to Noel.

New video Ghost Boy added to YouTube 4th December 2021. View via link on main page or search YouTube where you will find this with Bob’s Old mine and Studio Recording for On the Up Beat. There are also lots of old videos from way back if you are interested.

As of 1st December 2021 tracked postage and packaging will be added to all CDs. Although this raises the cost of my albums, I have reduced the unit price for “On the Up Beat” from £20 with free postage to £18 + postage. There is nothing to beat the quality of a physical product and the new album comes with a superb illustrated lyric book. This album is available on streaming services, but this does not offer the lovely package and does not support the costs of making the recording. Did you know streaming offers virtually no income to the artist?

Streaming release date for On the Up Beat is November 10th 2021. You can pre-save now by pressing on the listen bar on the footer.

“I wrote and recorded On the Up Beat during 2020 and 2021, despite imposed restrictions on travel and the necessity for social distancing. Whilst most of the album was recorded at Room with a View in Hampshire, it started initially in a small London studio, Attic Sounds where the rhythm section for two of the tracks were recorded, with guitar added at Plymouth Music Co-operative.”
